Seal the Exposed Ends & Edges of Faced FG Batts?

Basement has 9 ft walls and soffits all around. I am drywalling up to the soffit on the exterior wall, but the stud bays rise above the soffit frame by about 5 inches. Above that, the double plate and then the joists above.

Should I tape around the exposed ends of the fiberglass batts and/or the patches in the joist bays for air sealing purposes? Or, perhaps remove the facing and put some foam board over the top for a little more insulation in this area and sealing at the same time?
